I just purchased the zkicker 500 and have had it for a week. It is an amazing product. The sound is extremely clear and crisp, better than anything else I own. Don't worry about turning this one up. At volume level 16/40 It shakes the pictures on my wall. Even at higher volumes there is no distortion. Bass is clean, it puts outs out a lot of bass. Not as much as your 15" sub in your car, but enough. I have never seen a boombox so small that puts out this much sound. It has +-9 on the base and treble settings to make it do what you want with your music. The remote fully controls the zune very accurately. It connects to your entertainment system through componant video. It displays movies great and adds to your sound system. When I watch movies I hook it up to get a larger range of sound. I recomend this product. I would even recomend this product even if you don't have a zune, it has auxillary input for any sound device. It is worth every penny!
High Range: 8/10 produces high range sound well, few sounds missing in movies
Mid Range: 10/10 Very crisp and clear
Low Range: 9/10 Great sounding bass(There is a lot), some people might want a little more
Functionality: 10/10
Price: 10/10 worth the money

Just received the ZK500 and it's amazing. Sound is awesome and very loud compared to other docks I have tested. It is simple to use and the included remote is easy to use and works with the Zune menu. It even has a back button, which is a rarity. A definate buy if you want awesome sound!

This is absolutely amazing. The sound is crystal clear -- even at thumping levels that threaten to crack the walls. It comes with a slim remote that conveniently controls all the functions of the Zune. You can also put it in standby mode and have it charge your Zune while it's off.
One pleasant surprise was how small it was. It takes up practically no room at all.
The sound can't be described -- it has to be experienced. It packs unbelievable power for something so diminutive.
Others have complained it's not portable -- and it's true there's no battery option -- but if you needed to take this somewhere (maybe lend it out to a friend for a party, etc.) it would take nothing, considering its size, to simply unplug it and transport it.
I cannot recommend this more highly.
Just a note: for anyone who was curious, yes, this works with the Zune 120. I couldn't find this info anywhere online and finally just bought it on spec. Luckily it works perfectly with the 120. (I repeatedly wrote Kicker for this info but they wouldn't respond to my E-mails. Kicker made a great product, but their customer service could definitely use some work.)
Powerful, attractive, small, completely convenient -- this is a must if you own a Zune.

I was blown away by this speaker dock. I bought the Altec Lansing M604 and found it to be nice for the bedroom but decided I wanted more. The Kicker ZK-500 fit the bill. It really has amazing sound quality and volume.
Use the provided rubber bumper disk (in with the aux cable bag) to minimize the zune vibration from the powerfull bass. if you dont use it you will get an annoing vibrating sound at volume level starting at 15.
Just stick it in the dock area where the plastic starts to transition inward.
If you demand better sound quality and bass, buy the ZK-500.

This Kicker Zune Dock is almost unbelievable. I hooked it up, and it was SO crisp. Clear, clean sounds, and zero distortion. It has volume that ranges up to 40, and I didnt go past 34, simply because it was THAT loud, and it presented crystal clear sound - I cant stress enough how there was a LACK of distortion. And it RUMBLED! The bass was fantastic! I couldnt believe that such a deep penetrating bass was coming from such a little unit. And get this - I only had the bass setting on +2!! I took the bass up, and it was rocking the whole house! Dance-club-esque.
I got this for $225, and it was worth every penny. Dont skimp out and get some crappy sounding dock because you are trying to save a couple bucks - put down the money and BUY this! YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!
